Contraindications

Eligibility requirements for permanent makeup at MBellish Studio by Maria. We cannot perform permanent makeup for the following:

Under 18 years of age (per Washington state law).
Pregnant or nursing.
Have skin irritations near the procedure area, such as blemishes, rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris, dermatitis, rosacea, or sunburn.
Prone to keloid scarring, infections, or slow healing (e.g., from minor cuts).
Have diabetes, epilepsy, autoimmune or thyroid disease, glaucoma, hemophilia, skin cancer.
Have HIV, Hepatitis, or other viral infections/diseases.
Sick (e.g., cold, flu, pink eye, coughing)
Are on antibiotics, or blood thinning medication.
On chemotherapy or immunosuppressive treatment, unless you’ve been off treatment for at least 6 months (consult your doctor).
Have a pacemaker, major heart issues, mitral valve disorder, or have had or require an organ transplant.
Are on Accutane (wait 1 year).
Are on Retin-A (wait 3 months).
Had Botox (wait 2 weeks), fillers (wait 4 weeks), laser treatment (wait 8 weeks).
Have recently tinted, waxed, threaded your brows (please wait 10-14 days).
You are on eyelash growth serum (wait 6 months).

Appointments & Timeliness

We value the artistry of every session. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for a smooth start. Our schedule is meticulously crafted with back-to-back appointments, and arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice may require rescheduling online with a new deposit. For an uninterrupted experience, we kindly request no pets or guests accompany you.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We embrace life’s unexpected turns! At MBellish Studio by Maria, we’re devoted to nurturing your radiant journey while preserving the serene harmony of our schedule. Please verify your availability before booking, as all payments, including deposits, are non-refundable, though we may consider exceptions for unforeseen emergencies. Plan with care. Here’s our policy:

Transferring Your Session: Deposit fees are transferable to a new date with at least 72 hours’ notice. Contact us to reschedule, and we’ll gracefully secure your next appointment.
Short-Notice Cancellations: Cancelling within 48 hours forfeits your deposit fee, with no transfer option.
No-Shows & Same-Day Cancellations: Missing your appointment or cancelling on the same day incurs the full service fee (full procedure cost).
Our Devotion: Timely notice keeps your Lip Blush, Powder Brows, or Tattoo Lightening experience flawless. Reach out if plans shift, and we’ll assist with elegance. Let’s sustain your timeless glow!

Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit (50% of the service) is required to secure your appointment, applied toward your total balance, which is due on the day of service. We accept any major credit cards, and debit cards (no cash). Credit and debit transactions include WA sales tax and a 3% service fee for a streamlined luxury experience.

Consultations

For every new client, your luminous journey begins with a complimentary 15-30-minute consultation, seamlessly included with your initial permanent makeup procedure on the same day, just before tattooing. This cherished step is vital for those with prior permanent makeup or tattoos, allowing Maria to assess cover-up or correction eligibility with exquisite precision and warmth. Separate consultations are offered only under special circumstances, such as large scars or medical conditions, if unsure, email a photo of the area to service@mbellishstudiobymaria.com for our guidance. For prior work, submit a clear photo to confirm suitability. Upon booking, detailed preparation instructions will be sent to your provided email; please complete and return those forms prior to your appointment.

Color Refresh

Color Refresh appointments are reserved for our cherished current clients, a celebration of your ongoing elegance. Not yet with us, or have prior work? Your radiant journey begins with a complimentary 15-30-minute consultation, followed by an initial appointment, as you’ll be welcomed as a new client. Additional fees may apply for corrective enhancements, tailored to your unique needs.

Eyebrow Tattoo Precare Instructions

To ensure the best results and minimize sensitivity, follow these steps before your appointment:

Skin Health

Ensure your skin is free of irritations, acne, eczema, psoriasis, or sunburn.

Medications and Products:

Stop Accutane 1 year before.
Avoid retinol, Vitamin A, or AHA products for 30 days before.
Avoid blood-thinning medications (unless medically necessary) for 72 hours before, consult your doctor.

Treatments:

No facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels, or laser treatments for 4 weeks before.
No Botox for 2 weeks before.
No fillers, wait 4-6 weeks before.
No tweezing, waxing, threading, or electrolysis for 1 week before.

Lifestyle:

Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 2 weeks before.
Avoid alcohol 24 hours before.
Avoid heavy exercise on the procedure day.

Other:

Scars must be healed for 1 year.
Note increased sensitivity during your menstrual cycle.
